Hi! I’m Emily Maisie and I am currently doing a MSc Creative Advertising at Edinburgh Napier University! In 2024 I graduated from ENU with a BA (Hons) in Photography!

For as long as I can remember I have had a love and passion for anything creative… I grew up in a small rural village in Scotland - meaning my passion started off with nature and wildlife photography as that is what was mainly accessible to me . However, once I moved away from that small village and into a big city (that being the capital - Edinburgh - somewhere that I had always wanted to live ever since I was a little girl) my interest very quickly changed. I then started meeting new people and I gained a lot of inspiration from the city I was living in and the people around me.

I then started working with others and experimenting with different avenues of photography - which ended up with me loving portrait photography.

Another thing about me is that I love fashion - clothing, accessories, hair, make-up etcccc!!! Therefore, I combined the two things that I love the most - the photography path that I have went down was primarily fashion/ portrait photography.

Don’t get me wrong - I thoroughly enjoy creating other styles of photography as well - such as documentary, editorial etc. however my true passion within photography is fashion.

Once I graduated from ENU in 2024 I knew that I wasn’t quite done learning yet! So I embarked on a new adventure - that being the MSc Creative Advertising course. A few of my friends had done the course the year prior and couldn’t say enough amazing things about it - so I thought why not try a new form of creative expression. I then became - very quickly - obsessed with the world of advertising! From learning about how successful ads are made to creating my very own - I jumped into it all.

That being said - my love for fashion, photography and all things related never changed. Therefore, a good few of my campaigns that I created during the course were fashion focused - my main one being with the brand Depop!
